Be Intentional About Building High-Quality Relationships

By Cara Sherice

There will come a time in your life (if it hasn't happened already) when you'll look up and realize you no longer like to do a lot of the things you use to, you no longer want to hang out at the same places, and you no longer thrive from some of the same relationships....this means you have outgrown that phase of your life and some of the people that you are surrounded by. No, this doesn't mean ditch your current friends, but it does mean start to seek more quality relationships to bring into your life that will help you grow into this next phase.

I strongly believe that if you truly want to live the life you know you are capable of living then there is no time to leave anything to chance. It's time to start proactively building the tribe that you want and building your community that will keep you focused. Your community, your tribe are the people who are like-minded, movers & shakers, light bringers, and people who don't shy away from pouring into your spirit. These people in your community are the people you cheer on when they've won and who cheer back when it's your time. You learn from one another, you support one another, you build each other up, and you are of service to one another on this ever evolving journey.

You should take some time to get crystal clear about the things that you'll need from the people that are in your community and the things that are important for your future as you head into an abundant lifestyle. Some of the things that create strong bonds are loyalty, communication, compassion, creativity, open-mindedness, and ambition. You should focus on building a community of people who display the qualities that you could benefit from and also practice displaying these qualities. The fastest way to draw these people into your life is to display being one of these bossbabe game changers yourself!

So get out there and network, attend events/seminars/workshops, join committees at your job/school/church, register for meetups, and find your tribe...your future is depending on it!
